Scrapbooking and travels and just random thoughts. I might blog daily, monthly or quarterly. Who knows?

Today is Mother's Day
Normally, we would spend mother's day at my Grandma's house. We would have whatever it was that my Gramma would want....while my mom would complain about how it was her day too and it sucked that we had to eat/do what my Gramma wanted to do. Now that the "family" is in shambles, there is no more tradition for me. Since neither of them want a relationship with me, I have no invititations to be anywhere particular today. Instead, I got to spend it with my boo, doing whatever it is we want. We chose to see Iron Man 2 (which was pretty awesome, thanks Sunday Matinee!) After meeting up with MJ (yum, starbucks soy hot chocolate) we drove around Hillborough a bit so I could show Jarid some of the homes there and then we came home. Some wii was on the agenda (like I didn't play enough last night, lol), along with some left over game night food and soon on the list, some scrapping. Absolutely love my Sunday's. Hmmm....I think I just got side tracked...and in the best of ways. So to all those that have a good relationship with your kids....or your parents, please cherish them. Don't take them for granted. Not everyone has a mom they can call up. Last time I saw my mom she was walking out of a motel....and never will I have a conversation with her again.....so call your mom's and wish her a happy mom's day....
